Congratulations to all the 505 Racing team members that participated at the 2009 Grand National!

On a National Level the 505 Racing Trophy Team secured the ABA #2 spot for the season and the 505 Racing Bike Shop Team ended up as the #5 ABA Bike Shop Team!

505 Prepares for the 09 ABA BMX Grand Naitonals

As the season nears the end 505 Racing is still training!

Sprints, squats, spinning, plyos, push ups & sit ups are being done at home by riders and on Thursday's Team President John Roberts has been renting Duke City BMX for team practice sessions.

All you 505 Racing riders it is time to prepare your skills to insure another successful Grands!

505 Racing introduces BMX Racing to Lincoln Middle School Riders

Today,

Team President John Roberts and a few 505 Racing team members facilitate a intro to BMX Racing at Lincoln Middle School in Rio Rancho. Physical Education instructor Olivia Kent created a Walk & Roll event at the school to promote physical activity. The school promoted students riding and walking to school instead of riding the bus or riding with a parent.

After School time was reserved for biking activities including some entry level freestyle competition and some racing! Olivia had the Rio Rancho School District create a narrow BMX track with obstacles for the event!

It is always a good thing when we can introduce new riders to the sport of BMX Racing!

505 Racing Prepares for the 2009 ABA BMX Grand Nationals!

505 Riders are in the process of training for this years Grand Nationals in Tulsa Oklahoma. Ready to hold their own the 505 team is hard at work dialing in the needed skills and endurance needed for podium finishes at the Grands. This year's Grands should be awsome for the team!

Stay on your training programs and remember...the view is always better when you are out front!

Memorial for Captain Matt Juneau

During the 09 NM State Championship 505 Racing held a moment of silence for our fallen rider Captain Matt Juneau who was lost last year in a aircraft crash. On sunday Team President John Roberts took a few moments reflecting on Matt and then the track attendees took a moment of silence in Memory of Matt.

505 Results from Chula Vista CA

505 Racing was in attendance this past weekend in Chula Vista California.

Team Pres John Roberts took a 3rd on Sat and a 5th on Sun. Robert Moreno Took 1st on booth days! Jordan Moreno two 2nd place finishes in Cruiser and Bailey Olguin got a 4th on Saturday. 505 Racing took 3rd in team on Sat.

Way to go guys!

505 Racing takes 1st for 09 NM State Championship!

Hello Team,

As most of you know at the NM State Championship 505 Racing took 1st in team sheets! GOOD JOB!



Team President John Roberts rolled out our next team fundraiser "Cookie Dough Sales"

Please contact John if you did not get an order sheet.

The fundraiser only goes till the end of the month. The team would like to have all funds turned in for collection no later than October 1st.

This is designed to have your supporters pay up front with the product arriving to us in about 3-4 weeks.

John Mentioned he was planning a special rider trip down to the Las Cruces NM area to deliver to product to the riders and possibly spend some time at the NBL track all are invited to attend.

The product will be delivered to The Burkes "Rio Rancho Bagel Bakery" for all the local riders.

Team Fundraiser Event Sunday April 26th

Attention Team Parents!

505 Racing is holding a Team Fundraiser Sunday April 26th Spirit of the North Valley fundraiser booth the team will sell food & beverages to the visitors of the Spirit of the North Valley festival.

We participate in this event each year and need all Team Parents come help out by working shifts in the booth.

Spirit of the North Valley '09 - Sunday, April 26, 2009 @ Noon Parade starts at 10:45am at El Pinto Restaurant and goes to the RGSCC park.
Spirit of the North Valley is a community celebration in April in which Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center and Bernalillo County provide an enjoyable day in the sun that includes a parade, performances, food, and fun for the entire family. Entertainment will include Solera, Mariachi Tenampa and Rock Bottom.

Loss of a Rider "Captian" Matt Juneau

It has been confirmed that our friend & team mate Matt did not survive the aircraft mishap he was invloved in this week. Matt Raced 51-55 Mens Cruiser for 505 Racing. Matt was a very calm & confident person always willing to offer a word of encouragement and wisdom to riders & the team.

Matt will be missed by all who's lives he had touched. Our prayers go out to his family & friends.

Matt you will be missed but not forgotten.

As a memorial for recent the loss of rider "Captain" Matt Juneau, Duke City BMX had a moment of silence with a special gate dropping as the 505 Racing Team stood in the gate. Riders at Duke City BMX that competed today wore decals in memory of Matt.


For the 2008 New Mexico ABA BMX State Championship Team points competition Matt's team 505 Racing entered as Team "Captain Matt Juneau" in his honor. By the end of the day Team "Captain Matt Juneau" had earned the 1st place BMX Team trophy for the State Championship. The team presented the trophy to Matt's Family.

2008 New Mexico State Championship Weekend Sept 19-21

Duke City BMX will host the 2008 NM State ABA BMX Championship this year.

Riders that have participated in at least 2 of the qualifying state championship series races will be eligible to compete for a state title. Riders that have not participated in the previous qualifying races can still compete! (but will not earn a state title for finishing in the main event)

Let's Go 505 Racing!!!!!!!!! it's State Title time!

This event had a great turn out last year and this year should be even bigger & better! This is the 2nd largest annual event at Duke City BMX do not miss it!

Duke City BMX Riders set new record!

This past Sunday at Duke City BMX ther was a new record set for rider attendance! They saw 131 riders come out to the track today to race. This is a huge & wonderful thing to see. Duke City BMX usually only see's numbers like this for special races. It has been said that the combination of the recent BMX Olympics, Loaner Bike program, and the recent positive media coverage they have received has helped raise local awareness for the track. It was nice to see so many 505 Racing jerseys again!
